Recipe Trove Privacy Policy

Recipe Trove is developed by Hawthorn Consulting LLC. Recipe Trove is designed to work primarily with data stored on your device, not on Hawthorn-operated servers.
What Recipe Trove stores
Recipe Trove stores recipe titles, ingredients, directions, notes, source links, optional tags, import metadata, and recipe photos locally on your device.
Imports and shared content
If you share a recipe page, file, or text into Recipe Trove, the app reads that shared content on-device so it can create an editable recipe draft. Recipe Trove does not require a Hawthorn account to import recipe data.
Photos and camera use
If you attach photos or scan handwritten recipe cards, that media is processed and stored on your device. Camera access is used only for recipe-card scanning and photo capture features you choose to use.
Backups
If iCloud Drive is enabled for your device and available to Recipe Trove, the app can create backup snapshots in your iCloud storage so you can restore your recipe library later. Those backups are handled through Apple's iCloud services.
Data collection
Recipe Trove does not require account creation, does not sell your data, and is not designed around third-party advertising or user tracking.
