Backup and Restore
How automatic backups work
Recipe Trove stores your library on your device and can create automatic backups in iCloud Drive when iCloud is available. The app keeps a latest snapshot plus archived backup snapshots, so restore is not limited to one file.
How to restore a backup
In Recipe Trove, open the library menu, choose Restore from iCloud Backup, then pick the backup snapshot you want to restore. The restore screen shows the backup date along with how many recipes and photos are inside each snapshot before you confirm.
What if a blank launch created an empty backup?
Recipe Trove avoids creating new automatic backups when the live library is empty, and the restore list flags suspiciously empty backups with a warning. If an empty backup exists, you can restore an older snapshot with real recipe counts instead of using the blank one.
